Since Brexit the UK kept the EU supplement framework as retained law, enforced by the Food Standards Agency and local Trading Standards. There is no product registration or pre-approval. What matters is:
- Permitted forms: vitamins and minerals must use forms on the UK permitted list (e.g. magnesium citrate, not any magnesium salt).
- Safe upper levels: UK guidance on maximum daily doses (vitamin B6, vitamin D, zinc are the ones that catch brands out).
- Novel Food: ingredients without a history of use before 1997 need authorisation — shilajit and mushroom mycelium are the common problems; fruiting-body mushroom extracts are fine.
- Claims: only authorised health claims (the GB Nutrition and Health Claims Register). “Supports normal immune function” for vitamin C is allowed; “boosts immunity” is not.
- Label: UK FBO name and address, “food supplement” designation, daily dose, warning statements, NRV percentages.
We check each ingredient against these before quoting, and we supply the label in UK format with your FBO details. Filing and Trading Standards correspondence remain the brand’s responsibility.

Frequently asked questions
Can I legally sell your products in the UK?
Yes. UK food supplement law (retained EU rules) does not require pre-approval. The product must use permitted vitamin/mineral forms and safe botanicals, carry a compliant label with a UK food business operator address, and make only authorised nutrition and health claims. We supply the UK-format label, check ingredients against the UK permitted lists, and provide the COA.
Which ingredients are a problem for the UK?
Melatonin (prescription-only in the UK), shilajit and mushroom mycelium (Novel Food), high-dose vitamin B6, and some botanicals. We flag these before quoting and offer UK-compliant alternatives — for example a melatonin-free sleep blend.
Do you offer dropshipping to UK customers?
Not from China. We ship bulk to your UK 3PL or Amazon UK FBA, with FNSKU labels if you send them. UK-warehouse fulfilment is planned.
Is there a UK minimum?
Same as everywhere: 100 units per SKU, label free.
How do UK brands pay and what about VAT?
GBP or USD quotes; bank transfer, card for samples. Import VAT and duty are paid by the importer of record (you or your 3PL) — we provide the commercial invoice and HS codes.
